The FTTH Council is pleased to announce that Bell Aliant's Ivan Toner will be the 2010 Keynote Speaker for FTTH - All Fiber, All the Way!!   Ivan has extensive background in telecommunications, information technology, systems management, change management and business development leadership. During his 25 year career, he has held various senior positions including, Chief Information Officer for Aliant, Vice President Strategic Planning and Business Development for Aliant Energy Services, Director of IT Services for MT&T.   Ivan has a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) degree and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of New Brunswick.  He is a member of the IWK Children’s Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees, Acadia University Computer Science Advisory Board and on the Advisory Board with Novaknowledge.

Current Position Chief Technology Officer, Bell Aliant   Ivan Toner is responsible for Network and Services Engineering.  This includes Network Transport, Switching, Buildings along with new Technology and Service Introduction.  Ivan is also responsible for Information Technology Services including IT Strategy, Architecture, Planning and Delivery.   Key focus is to invest in new technology and services to support growth and changes to the business.  Another priority is to dramatically increase IT and Engineering effectiveness through process improvement, people, systems, information, technology and partnerships to maximize the company's competitiveness and growth.
